Nightmare Factory sets dates for West Coast Haunters Event in 2010

With many of the awesome Haunt Conventions with many of our favorites like Midwest Haunters Convention, HAuNTcon, National Haunters Convention and more, it should come as no surprise that an event on the West Coast was waiting in the wings.

It seems the team from the Nightmare Factory at the Oregon School for the Deaf have announced the first annual West Coast Haunters Convention in 2010. This was the result of them not being able to travel to any events that I have mentioned above, so they figured, create their own and have everyone come to them.

The event is developing continuously with new Vendors, and Speakers being added often. But they do have confirmed friends here at RFR, Nick and Brain Wolfe of Evil Twin Productions offering a Two Day Make Up workshop!

The event is taking place from May 20 through May 23, 2010. It is being held on the campus of the Oregon School for the Deaf at 999 Locust Street NE, Salem Oregon.

The event is growing daily so stay tuned for more details as they become available here and on the show.

To find out more about attending the event, or registering as a Vendor please visit: West Coast Haunters Convention

Transworld Haunt and Attractions Show Exhibitors & Seminars Filling Up

With the new year coming up around the corner, we are preparing for a variety of conventions, tradeshows and more to buy the latest and greatest for our haunts, events and more. From HAuNTcon, to Midwest Haunters Convention, and National Haunters Con we are preparing for all the new goodies from our favorite vendors.

With that said the 15th Annual Transworld Haunt and Attractions Show is coming up the weekend of March 25-28, 2010 in St. Louis. From Vendors, Products, Haunt Tours and Seminars the 2010 show is shaping up to be another great year for the Haunt Industry. To begin look at the current rundown for the Three Days of Seminars to help further your haunt, education and bring your event up to a whole new scary, horrific level.

Thursday, March 25, 2010
Morning Session – Adding revenue to your attraction with Gift Shops, Food Concessions and Sideshow Type events.

Afternoon Session –Branching out into other related business like Corn Mazes, Pumpkin Patches and Christmas events.

Friday, March 26, 2010
Morning Session – Marketing Your Event: How to get them in the door! Classes on Social Networking, Public Relations and Media Buying.

Afternoon Session – How to run a tight event. Classes on employee retention, operating a charity event, and setting up your business.

Morning Session – Getting the most from your actors! Classes on cue line acting. Setting up a world class makeup department and illusions.

Afternoon Session – How to create terrifying environments! Classes on creating giant monsters, detailing and designing to a theme.

Now these seminars have no price in terms of knowledge you will gain to make your event more fluent, fun and the best it can be. But to register for these classes is a mere $40 per seminar if you register in advance. If you wait until you are at the Transworld Haunt Show, it will run you $60 per seminar, on-site.

Now moving aside from education, lets move to our favorite part, the vendors. Each year brings new products, ways to scare and all new companies to the scene. And this year is no different.
