After investment in the product, the hiring of top producers and increased scares, it paid off!

“Once again we were met by record crowds and capacity nights,” said Hugh Morrow, president of Ruby Falls. “Our team took the uniqueness of our cavern, creativity of our storyline, and the realness of our actors and actresses and brought to life the true eeriness of The Wyrmwood Asylum! Nobody left undisturbed!”

“Nothing short of pure terror can be said about the work Ruby Falls has put into the haunts every year,” said Josh Lang with the Chattanooga Pulse. “Bit by bit, they whittle down your last thoughts of disbelief as you enter thinking this is actually a pleasure cruise, filled with candy and chocolate bubble gum kisses. Chuck E. Cheese is the other way folks.”

HauntWorld.com, the world’s leading haunted attraction website, ranked the Haunted Cavern in the top three Tennessee haunts for the best monsters/actors and most views on the site. The Haunted Cavern was also selected as a Top 20 Event by the Southeast Tourism Society for September 2009. In addition, the attraction received great reviews on social media sites such as Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, YouTube and blogs, with standard quotes from guests like “This was awesome, I can’t wait till next year!!!”

I often wanted something like that to happen to me.

Well, since that was never bound to happen, how about the next closet thing? Zoltar! Zoltar is a fortune teller inspired from the movie BIG. Zoltar was a staple at many piers across the nation from Coney Island to Florida’s Daytona Beach and more. And this interactive actor portraying the role makes it even more creepy by having the Fortune Telling Box mounted on a segway! So now he can torment, read the future and entertain people as they try to run in fear, or follow along in curiosity. Zoltar took FIRST PLACE in the 2009 Coney Island Mermaid Parade, and is gaining his own following of admirers.

Zoltar’s master, Jonathan Gleich, has a real job and management frowns on side work, so Zoltar is only available for Friday-Saturday-Sunday appearances. Many haunted attractions come, and yet it has to be said many stay as well. And some are Grandpas. One of those is the Haunted Hydro. This year the Hydro is celebrating 20 Years of Scaring Northern Ohio. This feat is so great for their community that Mayor Terry Overmyer has officially declared October 2nd, to be Haunted Hydro Day in Fremont, Ohio! Now that is something to be said for this Grand Daddy of Haunted Attractions to accomplish.

They Haunted Hydro has been a stop in the Annual Rotting Flesh Radio Haunt Tours and Crazy Bob is a Haunt Icon whether its at the Hydro being your spooky sarcastic MC, or teaching you all the tricks to scare guests in Hauntertainer U. Over the years the Hydro has also been crowned with such achievements as being listed in the top 20 Haunted Houses by MSNBC. The driving team behind the Hydro is Bob and Beth Turner who has kept the Hydro fresh, exciting and live Halloween all year long. And with the assistance of their well trained staff, crew and production team they have turned their Bloody Woods back in the 80s to the Haunted Hydro we know and love today.

Now let’s talk about what you want to know, the attractions. The Haunted Hydro has two featured attractions to get your haunt on. The first, of course, is the Haunted Hydro, a walk through attraction that with its natural spooky and creepiness is even more enhanced by terrors within those walls. In addition they also have the Industrial Mayhem. Now if you are looking for a full night of fright and fun, they have it. On top of two featured attractions, you can spend the entire evening at the Hydro with other side attractions as the Wheel of Fortune/Misfortune, Paintball Alley, and Tarot Card Readings. Overall help this haunted attraction boast its 20th year! From haunted attractions, hitting cars, and spinning some very odd wheels it is a night of fun and fright.
