Buccaneers Cheerleaders Visit Howl-O-Scream!

October 13, 2009 Uncategorized No Comments

Tampa, FL (October 2009) – Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cheerleaders Roseanne Strobel, Holly Sellers, Cynthia Bastos, Aubrey Gainey, Nina Stauffer, Ryan Theriault, Rochelle Alvarez and Jaime Hanna took a break from the sidelines to visit
Howl-O-Scream 2009 at Busch Gardens over the weekend. During their evening at the nationally ranked event, the cheerleaders toured the brand-new Delta-Epsilon-Delta: Pledge Week and Nightshade Toy Factory haunted houses and the El Carnaval del Muerto and Werewolves scare zones.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cheerleaders faced their childhood nightmares as they experience the terrifying all-new haunted house Nightshade Toy Factory at Busch Gardens’ Howl-O-Scream. These brave Bucs Cheerleaders ventured into the mysterious manufacturing plant, where they were teased by diabolical dolls, terrible teddy bears and possessed playthings. These twisted toys are alive…and they are coming after the adults who have forgotten them and you could be next!

As night falls, a hoard of restless half-man, half-beast monsters patiently wait for innocent Howl-O-Scream guests to stumble into their lair. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cheerleaders Ryan Theriault, Aubrey Gainey, Nina Stauffer, Rochelle Alvarez, Roseanne Strobel, Holly Sellers, Jaime Hanna, and Cynthia Martinez cautiously cross the all-new scare zone Werewolves, where those who are not worthy to join the clan will be preyed upon as dinner.

Howl-O-Scream runs every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night during October. For more information visit HouseofVayne.com or call 1-888-800-5447.

Clothing to Die for: For Haunters By Haunters and Special “rfrpodcast” Sale Code!

October 12, 2009 Uncategorized No Comments

As haunters, we tend to wear dark colors to better blend in with our haunts. And often share, exchange and give out our shirts to fellow haunters. Well, when two veteran haunters walked through the convention floors they noticed something was missing. That’s when the idea of Deceased Clothing came to their minds. Clothing for haunters by haunters.

Created by Joel Fearon and Andrew Klokow, Deceased Clothing has now come to life to show the haunt industry that we can have our own brand. “We needed to have something for ourselves, something we could call our own and we decided to create the brand Deceased.” co-owner Andrew Klokow of Deceased Clothing stated. Many of you RFR Deadites will remember Andrew, known as Omro at the time doing Movies Reviews in the Chainsaw Buffet for the show.

The newly developmed company has some high end products that are going to haunt your world debuting soon. The quality is not your typical quick press shirts from any internet site. They are high end quality cotton tees, screened with supreme detail. And the debut shirt, really shows the direction they are going in this initial launch.

Deceased Clothing is now on sale with its debut shirt “Requiem”. And you can get a discount for this debut product by entering a RFR exclusive promo code. If you type in the Promo Code “rfrpodcast” you will receive a special discount only good until October 19th. For more about the company and to place an order check out: DeceasedClothing.com “Clothing to Die for…”

Get Haunted with the Insane at the Asylum Haunted Attraction

October 12, 2009 Uncategorized No Comments

The Asylum Haunted Attraction is now ready to open its doors to those residents in Kansas. At the Asylum Haunted Attraction you enter an environment of pure Halloween Insanity. The records have last shown that in the First Ward there are 10 of the most sick and dangerous Serial Killers lived and now haunt the halls. The Mad Man Marz has never been located and with you winding around every turn you will wonder if you will make it out alive. It is in the Asylum Haunted you will seek shelter in closets, run down hallways and finally enter the Blacken Dark Chambers of the Asylum Walls. From there you move on to the NIGHT TERRORS.

The Night Terrors haunt at the Asylum is where you can find SEK FEAR FACTORY. And at SEK, they are doing something completely different for their customers. It is here groups of customers will enter the Pitch Black Environment with the assistance of only a single Glow Stick! Inside the dark damp walls are the Infected Ones and they will have to make their way out alive. This event is only running on November 1st and 2nd. So make sure to catch this two night event.

The Asylum Haunted Attraction has been in operation for the last two years at an old nursing home in Chetopa Kansas. Themed with the look and feel of an Asylum, it is one of the bigger attractions in the area featuring The Vortex of Insanity as well as an intense environment filled with the Criminally Insane actors inside. This 3 wing indoor-outdoor attraction is far from any ordinary haunted house. Only being the second year in operation, the Asylum has grown in size impacting the haunted industry. Featured on Haunt World, The Asylum is very unique by ensuring all characters are “pumped up” and ready to go for the crowds by channeling today’s rock music through the attraction. We have found that both staff and customers love the impact of the music. “This is one of two I have seen in the United States using this type of music” The Haunted Enthusiasts Jim Patton.

The event runs 7pm until Midnight throughout the rest of the month of October, with the Night Terrors the first week of November.

Wayne Allwine passes away.

Okay, now first I know many are saying who is Wayne Allwine and second, why, it’s not haunt related.

Well, many of us haunters grew up with a love of halloween, haunting and so on and how many of us just love the Haunted Mansion or some of the classic Mickey Mouse Halloween Cartoon Shorts? In some way many of us haunters have been inspired by Disney. And I personally being a Disney fan felt I needed to pay tribute to only the thrid person to ever give life to Mickey Mouse. RIP Wayne Allwine.

Mickey Mouse is an American icon and even to us haunters brings joy to us with the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween at the parks, or having the RFR Dark Princess watch the Mickey’s Halloween Specials and Cartoon shorts or even many queue lines at haunts using Disney’s entertainment factor as a starting point for your customers. Mickey is there all the way.

So I had to pay tribute to a very nice man who I have met a few times, and our prayers go out to is wife, the official voice of Minnie Mouse. Yes, Mickey and Minnie were married. Thank you Wayne for filling my life with Mickey and the torch will be passed to the next Mickey, but you will remain a Disney Legend.

From Cartoon Brew
Wayne Allwine, the official voice of Mickey Mouse, the third person in history to play the character in various movies and TV shows, has passed away.

According to Wikipedia, Allwine’s first appearance as Mickey was voicing the animated lead-ins for The New Mickey Mouse Club in 1977. His first appearance as Mickey for a theatrical release was in the 1983 featurette Mickey’s Christmas Carol and he has provided the voice for Mickey Mouse ever since. He was married to Russi Taylor, the current voice of Minnie Mouse. Allwine was also a sound effects editor for various feature films. Allwine died on Monday, due to complications from diabetes. He was 62.

Midnight Syndicate’s “The Dead Matter” Trailer Debuting at Comic-Con

May 29, 2008 Uncategorized No Comments

Well our friend Ed Douglas of Midnight Syndicate has let us in on when the Official Trailer will debut for his upcoming film The Dead Matter. He has stated that plans are being made to debut the first trailer to “The Dead Matter” at the San Diego Comic-Con July 23-27 at the MIDNIGHT SYNDICATE SOUNDTRACKS booth. Also appearing at the booth (soon to be confirmed) are director Edward Douglas and cast members Sean Serino, Christopher Robichaud, Tom Nagel, CB Spencer, and Brian Van Camp.

“The Dead Matter” achieved picture lock this past week. “The test screenings went extremely well, said Edward Douglas, “there’s a tremendous amount of excitement building around here as we head into this next stage.”

In addition to the Visual FX work being done at Precinct 13, work on Midnight Syndicate’s “The Dead Matter” CD and the score is also underway. “The Dead Matter” CD is a disc of music inspired by the film as well as some music from the actual film that will be released in August of this year. “Just in time for Halloween,” said Midnight Syndicate’s Gavin Goszka. “we’re really happy with how the disc is coming together. It will definitely give people a taste of what is to come.”

Stay tuned to Rotting Flesh Radio for more updates and also as we try to get Ed back with us once again on the show.
