Eastern State Penitentiary kicks off “Winter Adventure Tours”

One of our favorite Prisons and Haunted Attraction, the Eastern State Penitentiary and Terror Behind the Walls is getting in the Morbidly Merry Holiday Mood during their “Winter Adventure Tours”.

Kicking off on Thursday, December 10, at 11:00 am the Eastern State Penitentiary kicks off “Winter Adventure Tours” with an Ice Sculpting performance to top all others! To kick off the Winter Adventure Tour season, Fear No Ice, the world’s first and only performance ice sculpting company, located in the Philadelphia area, will create a piece entitled “Frozen in Time.”

The 1200 pound ice sculpture will incorporate iconic images of former inmates suspended in blocks of ice and arranged to form a towering sculpture on the penitentiary grounds. The event will take place on Thursday, December 10, beginning at 11 am and the sculpture will be on view for visitors throughout the weekend.

The Terror Behind the Walls Haunted Attraction is always a TV Favorite with the likes of Travel Channel taping often and the SyFy Channel’s Ghosthunter’s doing investigations during the standard Eastern State Penn event. And now both continue to entertain in December with this Ice Sculpture event.
