Brains vs. Coffee: A New Book Asks, Eats Brains or Drink Coffee?

Since we are forever in a Coffee Mode here at the show, hell, we have the Rotting Flesh Radio Brand Coffee we sell at conventions, we love coffee. But upon stumbling into the drift between sleep and awake we found a new book that poses a difficult question. Brains or Coffee?.

This is something we never though of being part of the undead haunt industry. But it is a good one. Will we get more nutrition from eating brains sautéed just right, or drinking another pot of the brew to never sleep again? So we here are Rotting Flesh Radio are about to find out.

Have you ever risen from slumber, shuffled into the kitchen and found yourself craving something more taboo than breakfast cereal? Have you ever accidentally asked for brains when you meant to say coffee? You’re not alone.

Many of us find ourselves in a zombified state, secretly craving brains. Being upstanding citizens, we recognize the need for a substitute: coffee. Everyday we must choose between our secret desire for brains and the more socially acceptable cup of coffee.

Brains vs. Coffee: The Daily Debate of the Urban Undead chronicles my struggle as I weigh the pros and cons to consuming, storing, preparing, enjoying and disposing of each product. Read through the 100 arguments and decide for yourself: can a conscientious ghoul rationalize the consumption of coffee, and extinguish the craving for brains?

The book was created by Ghoul Friday and the birth of the ideas as simple and brilliant as the book itself. It was February of 2009, and as Ghoul Friday signed on to her Twitter account, she posted this: “”Coffee…*stumble*…coooffee…*stumble*…braiiins…hm? *shakes head* COFFEE…”

From there the rest was falling into place. She then began posting the pros and cons of each and before she knew it 100 entries were done!
