Patrick Swayze Passes on at 57

September 15, 2009 Music, News No Comments

It was confirmed by his publicist that Patrick Swayze, star of Dirty Dancing has passed away at the age of 57 after a long public battle with pancreatic cancer.

Now the closest film he has done for the Horror community would be Ghost with Demi Moore, but he has done a variety of films that will live in our hearts forever. From To Wong Fo, to Road House, in the High Seas with Point Break and even as The Beast in his newest TV Role, he will be missed.

Now I don’t really share much about myself on here, but I will say that when I was young, I wanted to be like him in Road House, and Ghost was one of the first “grown-up” movies I saw. Complex, funny and sad. Well, Patrick, you may never leave Baby in the corner, but I will make sure to bring out some of your best films every so often. Especially you bit with Chris Farley on SNL.
